This is not a classroom course. This is real-world training on one of the best trout fisheries in the West—the legendary Grey Reef and Miracle Mile sections of the North Platte River just outside Casper, Wyoming.

Learn safe and effective boat control in all river conditions including:
- Drift Boat Prep and Back up skills for Launching & Boat Retrieval
- Ferry angles and boat positioning
- Drift Boat Rowing Strokes in all conditions
- Drift Boat Safety and Emergency Training
- Navigating riffles, trees, side channels and diversions
- Anchor systems and boat maintenance & cleaning
- Reading currents and controlling speed for ideal fishing drifts
Reading Water & Finding Fish
A professional guide must know where fish live and why.
You will learn:
- Identifying productive holding water
- Understanding seasonal trout behavior
- How flows affect fish location

Training Location
All training takes place on the legendary waters of the North Platte River near Casper, Wyoming, including:
- Grey Reef Tailwater Sections from Grey Reef Dam to Casper
- Miracle Mile Section lower float only
- Local Still waters
